Join us as a Senior Vendor Management Specialist! We are seeking an experienced individual with a strong background in Property and Casuality insurance. This role will be pivotal in driving vendor strategy, managing service level agreements, and ensuring the highest value from vendor relationships. You'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact and work closely with our dynamic team. This position will report to the Senior Manager of Vendor Management.

Position Compensation Range:

$76,000.00 - $125,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Primary Accountabilities

  • You will measure, monitor, and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for vendor performance.
  • You will develop, implement, and actively manage vendor action plans to address performance gaps.
  • You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to derive vendor and product value across the vendor ecosystem.
  • Influence business decisions through innovative thinking and impactful insights.
  • Engage in the procure-to-pay process, including automated invoicing solutions and purchase orders.
  • You will oversee budget processes, track spend and provide strategic financial insights.
  • Interpret complex contractual language and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Reconcile invoices, resolve discrepancies, and handle issue resolution efficiently.
  • Serve as a natural influencer to foster relationships and drive results across teams.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Education Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in project management methodologies, practices, techniques and tools.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of processing systems and processes.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of the insurance industry and regulatory environment.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of contract negotiations.
  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 10%

Physical Requirements

  • Work that primarily involves sitting/standing.

Preferred Skills:

  • Property & Casualty Insurance experience
  • Proven track record in SLA measurement and vendor performance management.
  • Experience with underwriting products and vendors
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze vendor value
  • Background in budget processes and strategies
  • Proficiency with automated invoicing and procure-to-pay processes
  • Ability to interpret complex contracts and manage compliance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate with key stakeholders

In this flex office/home role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783
