Controls SBS Project Manager : This is where you come in.

We are seeking a Controls SBS Project Manager to serve as the single point of accountability for delivering successful HVAC controls, Smart Buildings, and energy-related projects. This role involves overseeing all phases of assigned projects, from initial scoping to final owner acceptance. You will manage and confirm tasks such as work scoping, estimating, scheduling, site visits, commissioning, performance verification, project closeout, and securing owner approval. You will ensure accurate forecasting, manage budgets, and secure utility incentives for assigned projects. You will direct and collaborate with engineers, system technicians, electricians, administrative assistants, and subcontractors to meet project requirements. Top deliverables in the first year to be a hero:

  • Technical and Sales Expertise
    • Provide technical support for the sale of building controls, Smart Building Technologies, energy, and commissioning projects. Lead customer meetings, develop riser diagrams, define project scopes, and ensure accurate pricing.
  • Seamless Project Coordination
    • Oversee on-site coordination with internal teams, utility companies, general contractors, subcontractors (including SaaS providers), and other trades to guarantee smooth project execution.
  • Comprehensive Scope and Documentation
    • Review specifications, submittals, and design documents to establish complete project scopes. Minimize costly changes, and deliver precise as-built documentation.
  • Effective Hardware and Software Management
    • Ensure hardware design, software programming, and equipment installation meet SBS standards. Troubleshoot issues and validate system functionality to ensure project success.
  • Precision in Budgeting and Scheduling
    • Perform accurate estimating, manage procurement and delivery schedules, and maintain control over project budgets to meet contractual obligations and prevent overruns.
  • Exceptional Customer Closeout and Training
    • Conduct operator training, oversee project closeouts, secure utility incentives, and ensure a smooth handoff to the service and performance management teams for long-term success.

The Controls SBS Project Manager reports to Rachelle James, Senior Project Manager, and is part of a dynamic, collaborative team driving a range of projects and initiatives to support our growing business. This high-impact role offers visibility across all levels and departments within the organization.

Compensation: $100,000 to $140,000 Annually
