Scope of Position

Responsible for team leadership as secondary support and backup to the IT PMO Associate Director. Provides strategic program and portfolio management on the most visible and complex healthcare IT initiatives for the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC). Builds long term relationships and forms interdisciplinary teams that include participation from patient care, research and education mission areas. Functions with full authority for the execution and delivery of strategic program objectives and deliverables; providing recommendations on scope, schedule, resources, budgetand risks. Mentors PMO project management staff on both project and career growth and makes development recommendations.

Position Summary

Directs all phases of enterprise-wide/high complexity programs and projects from initiation to close using a combination of relevant development life cycle methodologies, skills, tools and techniques. Understands the strategic integration points across applications, technologies, infrastructure and the business customer and creates synergy between projects. Manages competing demands of scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, and organizational change management. Performs portfolio and program governance activities and establishes proper organizational structure to coordinate, track and report on multiple projects and sub-projects with focus on IT Core Infrastructure portfolio. Proactively identifies program and projects with third party vendors; lead strategy to ensure alignment and deliverables.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related disciplines and 8 years of experience in previous IT management role.
