Procurement Generalist MUST: Experienced procurement generalist 3-5 years of experience in Government Contracting Procurement or Purchasing Must be proficient in basic office software applications (such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer). Must be able to understand and produce PowerPoint presentations, spreadsheets, and other documents. Ability to demonstrate past or current experience in Costpoint Financial and Purchasing Modules or willingness to learn the application of them. Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with a proven ability to secure favorable terms and cost savings. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Analytical skills with experience in cost analysis, budgeting, and market research. Effective communication skills for liaising with vendors and internal stakeholders. Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and adhere to tight deadlines. Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance requirements. Bachelors Degree required DUTIES: Execute the purchase of goods or services approved by senior management and meet the quantity and quality expectations of the organization. They will spend time researching and finding suppliers that produce quality items or services within the business' budget and required specifications. Evaluate and negotiate vendor contracts. Recommend new products, services, or materials in keeping with industry trends. Track inventory and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate processing and delivery. They are also responsible for gathering and preparing documents like quotes, proposals and purchase terms and conditions from suppliers for their supervisor to review and approval. Track inventory and restock goods and services when needed. Analyze costs, seek cost-saving opportunities, and align purchasing decisions with company budgets and financial goals. Ensure procurement processes adhere to Federal, State and Local Laws, Federal Acquisition Regulations, company policies and industry regulations and standards; maintain organized records of contracts, invoices, and purchase orders. Managing daily, monthly, and quarterly reports, inclusive of reconciliation with the Costpoint Purchasing and Financial Modules each month end.
