Job Description

Spectrum Healthcare Resources Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist (Medical Technician) to join our dynamic team at the VA Central Western Massachusetts Healthcare System - Leeds,MA just outside of Northampton.

Position: Phlebotomist (Medical Technician)

Requirements:

    Have completed an approved college-based phlebotomy certification program and passed the certification test by an approved organization such as the AMT (American Medical Technologists), ASCP (American society of Clinical Pathologists), or ASPT (American society of Phlebotomy Technicians).
  • Provide a minimum of two letters of recommendation from former employers, to include at least one letter from a practicing medical technologist or medical laboratory technician, attesting to the contractor's clinical skills. Reference letters must include name, title, phone number, date of reference, address and signature of the individual providing reference. Letters of reference must have been written within the preceding 5 years
  • Must have performed 40 hours of classroom training, 100 hours of clinical training and 100 successful venipuncture (including skin punctures).
  • 1 year experience required
  • BLS active certification
  • Must be U.S Citizen
