The Opportunity The University of Central Florida (UCF) School of Performing Arts is seeking a pedagogue/scholar to join its Music program as a full-time, 9-month non-tenure earning instructor or lecturer in Ethnomusicology. Instructional duties include courses in World Music, Music in the United States, Music Appreciation, and graduate courses in the candidate's area of expertise. Further teaching in areas may be assigned according to the applicant's abilities and needs of the department. A strong background in teaching at the collegiate level is essential since this role is integral to the core curriculum of music courses in the School of Performing Arts. Furthermore, a candidate with a performance background may seek to establish student performing opportunities/ensembles. The anticipated start date is August 2025.
