Job Summary

Loudoun County's Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services is inviting qualified candidates to apply for the full-time Front Desk Supervisor position at the Ashburn Recreation and Community Center, which will open in 2025. This role is responsible for managing front desk operations and directing the customer service team to deliver outstanding guest experiences by fostering a hospitable atmosphere and encouraging positive interactions. The preferred candidate possesses a solid background and demonstrates expertise in customer service and guest relations. Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational abilities are essential, coupled with a strong dedication to fostering exceptional service delivery and remarkable recreational experiences at the Ashburn Recreation and Community Center.
We are currently hiring for the following locations:
- Ashburn Recreation & Community Center, Ashburn, VA (opens in 2025)
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manages front desk operations, handles the processing of financial and transaction reports, oversees the usage of the center, aids in conducting safety and maintenance evaluations, and supervises volunteer and temporary staff.
- Delivers polite and prompt customer service to County personnel, suppliers, guests, and the general public.
- Tracks and administers processes in the assigned database systems; updates data as necessary; maintains documentation on inquiries and service matters; and may develop database queries to create reports.
- Gathers and manages program fees following established procedures and regulations.
- Utilizes automated systems alongside different software tools to provide effective customer service and interact with programs.
- Additional critical job responsibilities may be undertaken that are specific to the role and departmental assignment.
*The work schedule is subject to change based on operational hours and will encompass weekdays, weekday evenings, and weekends to meet business requirements and accommodate peak facility usage.

Minimum Qualifications
-
High school diploma or equivalent, 3 years of related work experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation or Leisure Studies or related field
- One (1) year of experience in customer service and/or front desk operations, including staff supervision
- One (1) year of experience working in a recreation center or community center setting Bilingual
