The Broadband Technician I is responsible for residential installation and disconnections for data, video, and phone on the customer premises with a high level of focus on customer service, customer education, and quality of work. This role will be responsible for ensuring and recording correct RF signal levels. The BBT I is required to communicate with leadership and dispatch as needed.

Where you will work:



  • This position will be based in Astounds Chicago, IL office, and would be an in office/field role.



A Day in the Life of the Broadband Technician:



  • Residential install and disconnects* (data, video, phone) on customer premises
  • Ensure/record correct RF and signal levels within specifications
  • Communication with leadership and dispatch as needed
  • Customer education
  • Operate company vehicle in safe and responsible manner
  • Other duties as assigned



What You Bring to the Table:



  • Experience: None required, this is an entry level position
  • Experience in problem-solving, time management, and basic computer skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to use a ladder, hand and power tools
  • Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record compliant with the company policy





    Education and Certifications:



    • High school diploma or equivalent
