Job Description

The Cloud Product Engineer is a full stack engineer who architects and builds the cloud application development and hosting platforms for Allstate. This role will have the primary accountability of owning, developing, implementing and operating Allstate's Cloud platforms. As a Technology Specialist specializing in Azure Artificial Intelligence (AI) Services/Azure Open AI, you will be a technical solution expert within our AI solution area organization working with strategic consumers on establishing their AI Strategy & prioritizing use cases that drive business value with Azure AI Services & Generative AI. Specifically, you will participate in the strategic technical consumer engagements that will require you to deliver architectural design sessions, pilots/POCs leveraging Azure AI Services and Azure OpenAI Services. They serve as a thought leader in advocating technology solutions and engineering practices that define the product engineering space. They evaluate new products, software and projects; and leads the effort to adapt these technologies into the platform.
  • Provide in-depth AI expertise to support the technical relationship with our consumers, including product and solution briefings, creating demos, proof-of-concept work, and partner directly with product management to prioritize solutions impacting consumer adoption to Azure AI Services (Cognitive services portfolio, Azure Open AI).
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution using best practices on Azure AI.
  • Be a trusted advisor to our consumers, helping them understand and incorporate AI accelerators into their overall cloud strategy by recommending migration paths, integration strategies, and application architecture that incorporate Azure Studio/ AI Search / Azure Open AI.
  • Demonstrate how Azure AI is differentiated, highlighting the power by working with consumers on POCs, demonstrating features, optimizing AI Solution performance, profiling, and benchmarking.
  • Build repeatable assets to enable other consumers and internal teams.
  • Influence Azure AI strategy by leveraging AI Studio, Cognitive Services, Search and Azure Open AI models by advocating enterprise consumer requirements.
  • Address security and intellectual property, performance, scalability, and consumer readiness
  • Engages in conversation with consumers and collaborates with account and partner teams to drive and qualify new opportunities, understand key technical objections, and resolve technical blockers.
  • Represents developers and key consumers in the product design and lifecycle process.
  • Champions the engineering practices and helping teams define and setup frameworks using Terraform and automation
  • Coaches junior team members.
  • Owns, manages and maintains the high availability designs and engineering for the different platforms across the company
  • Champions technology and open-source technology internal and external to the company
  • Able to work effectively across organizational and geographical boundaries
  • Able to facilitate diverse teams, multi-task, and work under pressure to meet aggressive schedule targets.
  • Maintain and enhance existing Terraform codebase.
  • Identify creative solutions for technical support issues.
  • Able to communicate effectively across groups of diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to present ideas and solutions.

Education and Experience:

  • 4-year Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
  • 7 or more years of experience (Preferred)
  • AI Experience:
  • 3+ years of AI (Machine Learning, AI Services, Search). Technical expert on AI/Cognitive Services.
  • Knowledge of Prompt Engineering and AI open-source ecosystem.
  • Experience and skills with Azure Application and AI services.
  • Knowledge of consuming large language model (LLM) and Foundational model APIs.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Terraform development.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $104,000.00 - 187,625.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
