Vaco is supporting a local client as they look to expand their academic reporting team. We are looking a strong Power BI Engineer with 2-3 years of hands-on experience in creating Power BI dashboards and proficiency in ensuring data analytics accuracy. In this role, you will provide be supporting and enhancing current dashboards as well as building out new BI solutions across the organization. You will be tasked with transforming raw data into report creation, robust dashboards, and engaging insights that will help to shape business decisions. You will serve as a key link between data and action in the support of strategic initiatives across the organization. Core Responsibilities: 60% creating/enhancing existing Power BI reports/dashboards; 40% building new solutions in Power BI. Responsible for designing interactive dashboards and reports to clearly visualize key metrics. Using tools like SQL and Power BI to prepare data, build data models, and present findings in compelling ways. Designing and developing interactive dashboards and reports Collaborating with stakeholders to understand data needs Analyzing datasets to uncover trends and insights Maintaining data accuracy and integrity within BI systems Understanding of data warehousing and BI concepts Translating business requirements into technical specifications Required Qualifications: (top 2 bullets are most important) 2-3 years of hands-on experience in creating Power BI dashboards. Data Analytics proficiency - data accuracy and proficiency Strong knowledge of SQL and data modeling techniques. Critical thinking for effective problem-solving. Knowledge of using Copilot (Generative AI) in Power BI a plus Holding high degree of standards for visualizations - how you think about the audience and conveying decision making.
