The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking Sanitizers to work in our production area in Mason, OH. Successful candidates must be willing to contribute improvements suggestions and ideas to help continue the success of our facility. Ideal candidates must be safety and quality orientated along with demonstrate adaptability and willingness to work in a team orientated, fast paced work environment. This position requires individuals to perform general production duties in a food manufacturing environment following strict quality and safety standards. Currently hiring for weekend third shift (Friday-Monday) positions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • History of safe work practices.
  • 6 months experience in a regulated environment (GMP, FDS, ISO, etc.).
  • Candidates must be available to work all shifts including second, third & weekends and holidays
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand basic process flows and diagrams.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry 50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Outstanding attendance record.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to call out defects and adhere to Quality standards.
  • Achieve qualified score on job skills assessment, to be administered after receiving a passing interview score

Job Overview:

As a sanitizer you'll be a part of a dedicated team cleaning and sanitizing machines & processing kettles that make anything from ranch to syrup which will be enjoyed by 1000's of consumers nationwide.

Responsibilities & Duties:

May include, but isn't limited to:

  • Sanitation Responsibilities:

1. Thorough job knowledge on all sanitation jobs according to procedures.

2. Train personnel to complete sanitation work assignments according to all company

procedures/policies.

3. Effectively communicate all pertinent sanitation information to supervisor and other departments.

4. Ability to receive instructions and delegate work assignments.

5. Maintain and develop Master Sanitation Program.

6. Develop ideas and create offers for overall improvement of Sanitation Procedures.

Additional Responsibilities:

Cross train for other jobs and direct department training plans. Assist supervisor in maintaining department records.

Development of written procedures (OJT's, etc.)

Development of work instructions (SOWI's, etc.)

Maintain employee time accurately on the time and attendance system (KRONOS). Assist as needed in all phases of the operation. Follow and enforce all guidelines and procedures. Observe, enforce, and follow all safety and GMP rules. Must be willing to work the amount of hours required to meet company objectives (will need to work occasional weekends based on the Sanitation Schedule Matrix). Other duties as assigned

  • Cleaning and sanitizing the factory'spackaging and processing equipment, including storage tanks, process piping, product hoses and auxiliary equipment such as pumps, metal detectors, filters and fittings.
  • Utilizing CIP systems, COP tanks and/or hand cleaning to ensure all areas are cleaned within quality specifications. Disassembling, reassembling machinery and replacing gaskets, seals, O-rings and worn parts asneeded;also need to operate packaging machines in compliance with procedures including machine set-up, product hook-up, change overs, washouts and roll changes.
  • Accurately complete all paperwork, including sanitation work orders, green tags, quality check, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • The person selected to fill this position must have an excellent attendance record and thorough job knowledge in areas mentioned above. This individual must have excellent communication skills to correctly train, guide and direct personnel in all above-mentioned areas. this person must be able to work fluently on computers, proficiently knowing Microsoft outlook, word, excel, and PowerPoint.
  • HS diploma or equivalent and 6 months experience in a regulated environment (GMP, FDS, ISO, etc.).
  • Ability to safely lift and carry 50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Previous experience in a Quality or Sanitation based position is preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand basic process flows and diagrams.
  • Self-started with a positive attitude is a must.
  • Outstanding attendance record.
  • History of safe work practices.
