This is where you and your skills come in. We're currently looking for: Director of SLED Sales who will lead a team of Public Sector Enterprise Account Executives that focus on closing deals in the SLED sector. You will manage a team of motivated energetic public sector sales professionals that take pride in landing new customers, running strategic sales cycles. You will design and lead our SLED sales strategy, while providing definition and implementation of the plan for sales to achieve RingCentral's aggressive growth objectives.

To succeed in this role you must have experience in:

  • Lead and drive overall sales strategy to develop and close new business in the SLED Segment.

  • Hire, train and manage a team of SLED Enterprise Account Executives.

  • Owns and leads the SLED sales team, quota, revenue targets, and sales projections.

  • Develops and maintains relationships with key decision makers in the SLED & DOD agencies.

  • Develops a business plan and sales strategy (new business) for each branch and major program in the assignment to ensure tactical penetration.

  • Responsible for qualifying, developing and closing new opportunities in the entire SLED sector.

  • Develops a business plan and new-business sales strategy that ensures tactical penetration and attainment of direct sales quota.

  • Highly knowledgeable on key contacts in the government agencies along with contracting vehicles and methodologies.

  • Be a people focused leader for your team and a metric driven colleague

  • Build a winning sales team through hiring and inspiring team members

  • Plan and lead regularly scheduled forecast meetings on a quarterly & monthly cadence

  • Coach direct reports regarding key account strategies to drive closure

  • Report on sales activity and forecast to RingCentral's leadership team

  • Align and leverage internal resources to build, develop, and close strategic account and wins

  • Design sales plans through competitive analysis and thoughtful product positioning

  • Provide focused leadership to the sales team that will foster success based on a culture of customer success

  • Evangelize and embed a sales pipeline management process by developing and maintaining executive and senior-level client relationships in key accounts

  • Directly participate in closing deals with target accounts and driving business initiatives for future success

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong track record of recruiting, developing and retaining a high performing sales organization

  • Consistent overachievement of quota and revenue goals

  • 8+ years in software and/or applications sales

  • Proven track record of building satisfied, loyal and reference able customers

  • C-suite level resources, aligned with regional executives, AEs, and internal leadership teams to present a single front internally and help represent a single vision for our customers

  • Proven success working within a highly matrixed organization and establishing strong relationships across all functions

  • Strong operational and analytical abilities

  • Strategic enterprise sales experience and revenue achievement selling multiple enterprise software offerings

  • Experience selling cloud-based enterprise applications is strongly preferred

If you are hired in Colorado, California, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, Maryland, Washington, Connecticut, Rhode Island, the compensation range for this position is between $229,600.00 and $328,000.00 for full-time employees, in addition to eligibility for variable pay, equity, and benefits. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, health and wellness, 401k, ESPP, vacation, parental leave, and more! The salary may vary depending on your location, skills, and experience.
