Basic Function

This position reports to the Director, Business Interface - Advanced Manufacturing and is a key member of the Digital Technology Business Interface to Advanced Manufacturing team. This position is responsible for managing a broad program and portfolio of Advanced Manufacturing technology initiatives to ensure high quality project delivery and value generation consistent with business strategy and with investment costs in line with annual agreed budgets and in compliance with company standards and governance.

Key activities will include:




  • Dashboard and KPI development for the apps the Advanced Manufacturing Business Interface is collaborating with the relevant business units to develop and maintain, with a goal of clear spend and value visibility. This person will be an advisor to the managers assigned to each app and business unit.


  • VEP alignment across businesses: This person will be a trusted advisor to provide guidance, consistency, and accountability, working to implement VEP alignment, in collaboration with support from the Digital Transformation and Planning team within Digital Technology to the specific application teams in the Business Interface.


  • Roadmap development and support across businesses. This will also happen in collaboration with and with support from the Digital Transformation and Planning team within Digital Technology.


  • Collaborate with business demand roles.


This role will also work closely with the Director, Business Interface - Advanced Manufacturing to make processes around time, information, and decision-making more effective, to be a thought partner who can consider the needs of the whole enterprise, and to support in envisioning and implementing policies.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Plays a key role in driving the Enterprise DT Strategy and Execution as a member of the DT Leadership team.
  • Provides oversight and leadership for key DT Programs within the portfolio
  • Tracks and reports progress in implementation and adoption and actual value delivered through manufacturing applications.
  • Maintains a close relationship with the Director IT Project Delivery and Solution Architecture to ensure a holistic DTC view of project portfolio budget and resource needs.
  • Maintains an innovation pipeline perspective of the portfolio with visibility from early-stage ideation to global scale out into production. Prepares portfolio review data to meet business needs for visibility and clarity of current portfolio for Executive briefing and strategic alignment check ins.
  • Coordinates and consolidates the delivery of services among different projects and program activities to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Accountable for the management of external vendors in terms of SOW and engagement requirements, ensuring all vendor management quality expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Ensures projects are delivered within the expected quality, budget, timeline, and scope.
  • Participates in project review meetings and provides independent assessment on the project's overall health and status.
  • Provides broad Digital and project management knowledge and expertise and provides leadership on projects that have significant issues and provide active support when needed.
  • Drives accuracy in project financial reporting and forecasting & ensures that project management and development lifecycle process is followed and makes improvements.
  • Drives standardization and proactively recommends improvements & cultivates high morale, teamwork, and effective empowerment as main goals for achieving productivity, advocate for DEI within the organization with active participation in networks and programs encouraged in the team.

Min. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required. Degree in information technology, engineering or related discipline preferred.
  • Typically, 10+ years of relevant experience. Direct experience in digital technology or experience in manufacturing, engineering, HSE, R&D, capital projects or related domain.
  • Experience in forming strategic partnerships with technology and business partners in a collaborative manner.
  • Managing multiple concurrent initiatives and significant experience in the matrix management of resources across multiple groups.
  • Broad and extensive business management skills and knowledge.
  • Successful implementations of complex technical solutions including manufacturing systems/processes.
  • Understanding of annual investment budget for BUs & functions (projects and business applications).
  • Ability to interpret technology and market trends as a foundation for technology and product roadmaps.
  • Strong understanding and appropriate use of financial processes and techniques and proven business case development skills, including: experience with both quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Extensive experience collaborating with solution, information, and application architects and infrastructure engineers to identify, design, and implement highly complex, end-to-end solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Respected leader with demonstrated ability to influence colleagues at multiple levels.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
