What this job involves:
As a mailroom clerk at JLL, your primary responsibility will be to efficiently manage and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail and packages. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that mail is delivered accurately and promptly throughout the organization, contributing to the smooth functioning of daily operations. Your day-to-day tasks will include: Receiving, logging, and sorting incoming mail and packages Distributing mail to the appropriate departments or individuals within the organization Preparing outgoing mail and packages for shipping, including packaging, labeling, and arranging courier services Operating mailroom equipment such as postage meters and mail sorting machines Maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing mail and packages Handling and resolving any mail-related issues or discrepancies Assisting with inventory management of office supplies Collaborating with other departments to ensure effective mail flow and distribution Maintaining a clean and organized mailroom area Desired experience and technical skills: Proven experience in a mailroom or similar support role Familiarity with mailroom operations, including mail sorting and distribution procedures Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Ability to lift and move heavy packages Good communication and interpersonal skills Preferred: Experience with mailroom equipment such as postage meters and sorting machines Knowledge of shipping procedures and regulations Familiarity with inventory management systems Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle mail-related issues efficiently |
