Job Summary

Under direction of the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Research Funding (SIRF), the Limited Submissions and Research Funding Program Coordinator (the coordinator) administers and manages the internal selection process for funding opportunities that impose campus limits on applications. The coordinator also contributes to identifying funding opportunities of relevance to the UC Davis research community and works with the AVC for Research and other administrators on decision-making and strategic planning for a diversity of funding opportunities and strategies for successfully obtaining the funding.

Specifically, the Limited Submissions Program Coordinator identifies relevant funding opportunities from numerous sources, advertises the opportunities through several outlets each week, solicits applications for limited submissions programs, manages the internal review process, and communicates the results of the review. The coordinator sometimes organizes and hosts campus information sessions on specific funding opportunities, or on finding funding.
