MATERIALS AND STORES SUPERVISOR I (CORRECTIONAL FACILITY) $4,091.00 - $5,357.00 per Month Final Filing Date: Job Description and Duties
Prepare and receive orders for goods and supplies ensuring orders reflect proper stocking procedures. Issue and receive goods from vendors. Verify delivery with invoice or packing slip and receive for issuance into the canteens. Deliver goods to the designated areas. Receive stock and check against the Inventory Transaction Movement Report for proper quantity, condition and UPC. Anticipate and estimate merchandise needs. Supervise inmate workers in their daily work assignments, (i.e., unloading merchandise from trucks and vans, storing of merchandise, stocking the store and preparing the canteen for the monthly inventory). Follow the first-in-first-out flow of goods for sale. Conduct a monthly inventory. Keep all areas clean, hazard free and follow all safety precautions. Maintain inmate timecards and other inmate documentation relating to the Inmate Work Incentive Training Program. Will be required to operate trucks, use powered and non-powered material handling equipment. Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position(s). Candidates new to CDCR/CCHCS are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, as well as a Tuberculosis test/evaluation prior to appointment, followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
