Job Summary:
The Center for Dairy Research (CDR) is in the process of significantly upgrading our pilot plant, labs and analytical capabilities. The new CDR addition opened in 2023, and this has greatly expanded our scope of projects we can perform in our pilot plant (e.g., cheese, ingredients, cultured products, beverages, etc). We have recently purchased a range of sophisticated/advanced analytical instruments to enable us to carry out new testing methodologies. These are in addition to strong analytical capabilities existing within CDR. This researcher position will support the increased number and scope of research projects that we now undertake. These projects include internal research projects, that may include graduate students, or external industry funded projects. This position will develop new tests, devise approaches to address various complex projects/questions, perform these tests, help troubleshoot issues with these advanced instruments and prepare reports on the testing performed. Responsibilities: Provides research expertise to fundamental and applied scientific research and solves problems in research development and applications to support the advancement of research.
