Job Title: Warehouse Lead

Position Type:Full Time

Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Shift: 3rd shift (11:00pm-7:30am, Mon-Fri) *Overtime expected per business need

Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor

Pay Range: $25.00 - $36.00 per hour* *actual starting pay rate will be determined based on combination of skills and experience

Summary of Job

The Warehouse lead is responsible for providing lead support during off-shift (3rd shift) for Warehouse Operations. The 3rd shift Warehouse Lead will provide day-to-day oversight and direction to a small team of warehouse associates, ensuring efficient operations and high levels of productivity. While the Warehouse Lead is not responsible for formal supervisory duties, they will act as a resource for team members, offering guidance on task prioritization, safety procedures, and best practices. Under the direct supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Lead will assist in coordinating workflow, troubleshooting operational issues, and ensuring adherence to quality standards and company policies. This role requires the ability to lead by example, maintain a positive team environment, and communicate effectively with both associates and management.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities



  • Ensuring a safe working environment through modeling safe behaviors, leading audits/inspections, correcting unsafe behaviors, conducting safety meetings, and utilizing proper work methods, procedures, and equipment
  • Providing direct supervision to production and temporary employees
  • Handling shifts administrative activities such as time/absence reporting, attendance control, vacation planning, overtime etc.
  • Evaluating employees' performance and provide feedback
  • Driving continuous improvement in safety, productivity, quality
  • Monitoring daily work schedules, determine priorities, allocate work assignments, and regulate production processes to meet specific daily production requirements
  • Supporting manufacturing efforts and projects
  • Reports to Operations Manager with responsibility for operations and employees in the same plant areas
  • Any other improvement projects as outlined by Plant Manager, Production Manager, or Production Supervisor
  • Actively participate in all Continuous Improvement, Safety and Quality initiatives
  • Housekeeping throughout assigned shift to ensure an orderly and safe environment.

  • Adheres to the highest standards of company safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations including all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
  • Attends meetings and completes safety trainings as required.

Education and Experience



  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in shipping/receiving, ideally within a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of 1 combined year of experience in a Working Lead or other supervisor capacity.


Compensation



  • The pay range for this position is $25/hr. to $36.00/hr. Actual starting rate, within range, will be determined based on combination of skills and experience.
  • The Company offers paid vacation time, paid sick leave, medical, dental and vision plans as well as a 401(k) with employer match.
  • 12 observed holidays (paid) per year
