These competencies, as identified by the University's academic community, encompass the knowledge, skills, and behaviors essential to a faculty member's success in the classroom and provide the basis for the faculty hiring, evaluation and development process.

Education/Experience Requirements:



  • Hold a Master of Science in Nursing
  • Hold a PhD, DNP or Doctorate in Education or related Healthcare field
  • Hold an FNP Certification
  • Have a minimum of 2 years experience in online nursing education
  • Compact RN license


Perferred:



  • Minimum of 2 years experience teaching in a graduate nursing program
  • Experience with Canvas as a learning management system
