*This is not a remote position. Candidates must reside in the greater Portland, Maine area.

SUMMARY

This role is the main point of contact for our Services Customers and includes responsibility for both the credit and collections functions and directs the work of the Account Manager - Credit role.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Responsible for the activity and workflow of the Account Manager - Credit and Credit A/R Specialist I roles.
  • Responsible for resolution of issues escalated by the Account Manager - Credit and Credit A/R Specialist I roles.
  • Manages customer's accounts receivable ledger.
  • Gathers and analyzes business data from required sources to assess credit risk and set credit limits.
  • Implement and maintain client credit policies and procedures.
  • Conducts and documents outbound communication to past due buyers.
  • Communicates credit decisions and collection strategies to client.
  • Develops client contacts and influences credit risk decisions and procedures.
  • Creates and presents external periodic credit and collection reports.
  • Manages credit insurance policies and other risk mitigation tools.
  • Monitors client sales orders and approves qualifying orders on credit terms.
  • Collaborates with Seafax's Sales, Collections and Credit Reporting teams to deliver comprehensive service to our clients.
  • Comply with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information).

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE



  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Four (4) or more years of related experience



SKILLS



  • A sense of ownership in resolving issues through critical thinking.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan activities efficiently.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient at working in cross-functional teams both internally and with our clients.
  • Good leadership, problem-solving and time-management skills
