What you'll be doing...

This technical member of the GPSO Central Team will have responsibilities for multiple tasks, tools, and systems that support departmental operations. This position is critical to meeting organizational goals, as a key member of the technical team, you will organize, create, communicate, and facilitate solutions that allow the GPSO Finance Operations Teams to innovate and deliver on its commitments.

  • Provide tools analysis and system support for multiple Finance Operations.

  • Perform assessment and research of tools, systems and architect strategies for business process automation and analytics.

  • Provide server support for DEV, UAT and production environments used in the GPSO space and ensure all vulnerabilities are remediated in a timely manner

  • This position requires someone with significant programming and systems experience along with experience manipulating large data sets and fulfilling user requirements.

  • Ability to adapt and provide support to the business in a dynamic, ever changing environment for various groups.

  • Design and code user interface for data driven applications to ensure proper controls, dashboard reporting and metric publication.

  • This position will have the opportunity to lead process improvement initiatives. The position will drive initiatives to support systems enhancements and automation solutions which will contribute to efficiencies across the organization.

  • This position will lead development of training materials, systems documentation and provide training to end users on system procedures, data structure and basic programming skills.

  • The position will regularly interact with Individual Contributors, Supervisors, and Managers within the organization to report progress on initiatives and projects.

  • Uses professional concepts and company policies & procedures to solve a wide range of complex problems in creative and practical ways; makes recommendations that aid in the successful completion of initiatives within a functional area. Typically involved in one large project at a time; develops schedules to ensure timely completion of the project; identifies appropriate resources needed.

  • Receives general guidance for the accomplishment of short to medium term goals and operating objectives. Plans and executes own work.

  • Support Systems applications in various tools (e.g. UiPath, Teradata, Tableau, Toad, Talend, Qlik, SAP, and other Verizon business tools).

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or Finance, or four or more year's experience.

  • Extensive experience with ETL, SQL, large data set manipulation, and business process automations.

  • Expertise with BI Tools (Tableau, Qlik, OBIEE, etc.), ETL Tools (Talend) and java programming.

  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Excellent PC skills with advanced knowledge of Google Suite products.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A Master's Degree.

  • Logic, quantitative and analytical skills; deductive reasoning and problem solving skills.

  • Server support experience.

  • Additional tools preferred: RPA, HTML, Java, VB, .NET, Google App Scripting, Python, AWS/Cloud.
