Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $43,888 - Midpoint: $50,300 (Salaried E5)

Department/Organization: 209317 - Early College

Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm

Job Summary: The Admissions Representative I counsels individuals throughout the admissions and enrollment process based on their individual circumstances or needs. Evaluates prospective student's academic preparation and interests to determine appropriate opportunities at the University. Represents the University at on- and off-campus events and information sessions. Provides superior customer service for prospective students and families.

Additional Department Summary: Recruits Early College students in the West Alabama and Central US areas. Travels to various in-state events and out-of-state events, which includes overnight travel and travel to remote locations. Uses Slate CRM (customer relationship management) system to communicate with prospective students.

May reside in the Early College West Alabama recruitment territory, preferably in Tuscaloosa, Jefferson, Hale, or Bibb counties.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.

Must be able to travel alone across the southeastern United States, sometimes overnight, up to 5 days per week; an interest in working with young people. Some evening and weekend work.

Skills and Knowledge: Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to demonstrate poise and the ability to relate incredibly well with middle and high school students, parents, and educators. Ability to work with various groups of people. Ability to be a self-starter and independent worker.

Preferred Qualifications: Student recruitment experience, preferably with high school students. Experience with Slate CRM.
