Job Summary
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is an active academic, research, and clinical division within the Department of Internal Medicine and the School of Medicine. The position serves as the Fellowship Coordinator for the General Cardiology ACGME fellowship program and will be back-up for the non-ACGME fellowship programs. #CA-SB Apply By Date 11/24/2024 by 11:59pm Minimum Qualifications For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license, certification and/or educational degree if required of the position.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or a combination of experience, education, and/or training.
- Experience working in health professions education administration or a field where transferrable skills have been acquired.
- Ability, skill, and proficiency with PC, Windows, Word, Excel (or similar spreadsheet programs), PowerPoint, Outlook, E*Value, MyInfoVault (MIV), and other programs, as needed.
- Skills to organize various projects and establish priorities to complete tasks on a timely basis.
- Analytical skills to independently assume responsibility for coordination and completion of complex projects requiring interactions with many individuals.
- Skill, knowledge, and ability to utilize tact, diplomacy, patience, and courtesy in dealing with a wide variety of individuals and to interact harmoniously and positively at all times.
- Verbal communication skills to effectively screen visitors and callers, answer questions, resolve problems, or direct to appropriate resources.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to compose clear, concise, and grammatically correct correspondence.
- Skills, knowledge, and ability to coordinate travel and meeting arrangements with various travel agencies, hotels, and sponsoring agencies at local, national, and international meetings.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise independent and mature judgment and discretion relating to sensitive department/division matters, and comply with University policy regarding all patient information while committing to excellence.
- Basic analytical skills to review financial documents, and develop financial and accounting reports using Excel.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team and make decisions under general supervisory management direction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with medical staff credentialing.Knowledge and ability to interpret University Policies and Procedures, Academic Personnel Manual, Personnel Policy for Staff Members, UCDMC Medical Staff Bylaws, JCAHO, University Sexual Harassment, Affirmative Action Policies, and Principles of Community.
- Ability to be flexible in order to respond to the needs of a multifaceted workplace.
