Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Completes mobile equipment report at the beginning of the shift, notify Supervisor about any problems
  2. Cleans and blows down forklift at the end of the shift
  3. Demonstrates knowledge of forklift rules
  4. Stacks units neatly, with proper cross-out placement and in proper rows
  5. Observes for any mechanical problems with forklifts and reports them to the shift Supervisor
  6. Keeps shift's wood separated by thickness, moisture and grade
  7. Keeps Dry Veneer warehouse organized
  8. Assists in loading and unloading of Composers, as needed
  9. Inspects load heights to ensure accuracy and consistency
  10. Properly marks all loads of veneer
  11. Keeps 4x4' runners picked up off the floor
  12. Pushes up floor and warehouse using push block
  13. Ensures all scrap veneer is taken to hog and hogged up
  14. Picks up scraps of veneer with shovel, rake, or by hand
  15. Paints various plant equipment and materials (barriers, framework, guards, etc.)
  16. Keeps the trash dumpster in front of the break room empty
  17. Follows Company policies, procedures and safety rules
