The Office of Information Technology (OIT) provides information technology leadership and support to the Georgia Institute of Technology, working in partnership with academic and business units to meet the unique needs of a leading research university. OIT serves as the primary source of enterprise-wide information technology and telecommunications services in support of students, faculty, staff, and researchers.

Job Summary

Lead in the technical strategy development for the Office of Information Technology, providing support in the academic, research, and administrative arenas. Lead the development and delivery of strategic technology solutions that fit the business' needs. Solve integration issues and synchronize technology frameworks across the institute. Oversee and coordinate the efforts of other technology-specific staff. Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs. Work closely with IT stakeholders to help understand and clarify requirements. Oversee and coordinate the efforts of IT teams in their organization. Coordinate and guide technology investments across the institute. Provide guidance and assist campus IT organizations with strategy, vision, and alignment of the services and operations. Act as a trusted advisor clients and partners, shaping and executing their business and transformation agendas. Participate in the information technology governance of the Institute.This position will interact on a consistent basis with: Directors, IT Professionals, Campus Business Partners, IT Directors and IT leadership on campusThis position will typically advise and counsel: Directors, IT Professionals, Campus Business Partners. Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Participate in strategic planning for campus-wide IT initiatives, including existing and emerging technologies

Job Duty 2 -
Initiate and coordinate IT projects within the institute

Job Duty 3 -
Initiate and coordinate IT projects with other universities

Job Duty 4 -
Build consensus for the strategy of information technology at the Institute

Job Duty 5 -
Lead enhancement of enterprise computing services and information technology architecture, directing initiatives to meet strategic goals

Job Duty 6 -
Lead or participate in efforts to ensure service availability and business continuity, security compliance and other audit requirements

Job Duty 7 -
Create strategic plans to define how technology should be utilized to support the overall business strategy and create value

Job Duty 8 -
Conduct organizational reviews to identify strengths and weaknesses and to evaluate operational effectiveness

Job Duty 9 -
Make recommendations based on emerging trends, expansion opportunities, competitive threats, viability of outside business partners, and internal business process improvement

Job Duty 10 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Other Required Qualifications
Must possess or be able to obtain state of Georgia license within one year

Required Experience
Five to seven years of job related experience

Leadership skills, including working with diverse groups collaboratively in gaining consensus; leadership specific to IT services and support units (help desks and public computing facilities, infrastructure, administrative, etc.); professional staff management; negotiating complex contracts

Preferred Qualifications

Searching for an experienced ServiceNow Solutions Architect to join our Office of Information Technology-Digital Business Team.
Strongly prefer a ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or ServiceNow Certified Master Architect (CMA).
Must have significant and proven experience designing solutions across the ServiceNow product line, including (but not limited to) ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, GRC/IRM, CMDB, HAM and SAM.
Must be a subject matter expert in the ServiceNow Common Services Data Model (CSDM) and proven experience working with organizations to implement and mature their CSDM adoption.
Must be willing and able to provide guidance and mentor team members who are on their own journeys to expand their knowledge of the platform and be effective in their ServiceNow roles.
Must have excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Proposed Salary

Budget: $142,500

Salary offer is based upon experience.
