We're seeking a dedicated HR Generalist to join the Bourns College of Engineering and support our mission to foster a thriving academic environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with our faculty and staff, ensuring smooth HR operations and promoting a positive, compliant workplace culture.

What Will You Do?

As the HR Generalist, you will play a key role in supporting the Bourns College of Engineering with recruitment, employee relations, leave administration, and compliance. You'll guide hiring managers and search committees on best practices, facilitate the development of job descriptions, and ensure adherence to affirmative action and university policies. Acting as the college's leave specialist, you'll oversee leave administration, manage sensitive personnel information, and support HR initiatives across the college by analyzing HR data, coordinating UCPath transactions, and maintaining compliance with mandatory training and reporting.

The full salary range for the HR Generalist is $29.21 - $51.15 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.

As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.
