Job Title: Converting Setup Technician -Lead

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday from 10:45pm-7:00am

Location: Sussex, WI

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

Responsible for coordinating all setup technicians to setup safely & efficiently, while ensuring product adheres to our quality policy. If all operators & setup techs are running smoothly, you're expected to run production to maximize department throughput. Provide necessary coverage when supervisor is out of office.

Machine setup experience is required to be considered for this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assign setup technicians to converting machines daily.
• Assign tasks to maximize setup tech productivity, machine moves, JJ Keller safety training, QT9 training, etc..
• Coordinate break times to keep converting machines running.
• Check Outlook emails daily.
• Check/ post in Microsoft Teams daily.
• Ensure all setup techs are staying on task to maximize department throughput.
• Notify supervisor if any operators or setup techs aren't adhering to Pregis policies.
• Hold high level of integrity and confidentiality when needed as a meeting witness.
• Conduct coaching conversations and hold team members accountable to Pregis work procedures and policies
• Able and willing to schedule production.
• Assist/ Conduct daily shift start huddle
• Collaborate with Lead Operator to update MRP system (if shift Supervisor is out of office.)
• Ensure a smooth handoff with next shift.
• Ensure setup techs are completing their setup responsibilities form.
• Contact maintenance when needed.
• Ensure setup techs are utilizing the setup program.
• Communicates setup tech supply levels.
• Update daily metrics

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Process control work experience.
• Mechanical inclination preferred.
• 5+ years of setup technician work experience.
• 5+ years of manufacturing work experience.
