Academic Advisor III As a member of the Care for At-Risk Students (CARS) Committee, this role requires active participation in a collaborative effort to support students in need. The staff member will attend weekly meetings to discuss students identified by staff or faculty as at-risk, engaging in case management and intervention strategies. Additionally, they will monitor a referral network to identify students at risk and coordinate efforts to provide timely, supportive responses. This role demands a high level of empathy, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to fostering student well-being and safety within the campus community. Job Summary Utilizes expert-level advising knowledge, theory, and experience to serve as an academic liaison for students to identify academic and career goals, select appropriate courses, and plan for degree attainment. Leads the facilitation and implementation of University-sponsored activities. Manages large, complex projects. Essential Functions Individual will serve as an Academic Advisor in the College of Business Administration (CBA). Individual's time will be devoted to academic and career advising and other duties as assigned, special projects, and professional development. Advising responsibilities will include meeting with undergraduates in the College of Business Administration. The advisor is responsible for meeting with students several times each year to help them create academic plans, register for classes, and to review general information about degree requirements. The advisor will discuss and facilitate career-related work experiences (in the context of the student's development as a business professional), internships, resume development, study abroad plans, and to address any other issues that affect a student's academic performance and career goals.
