University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics Division of Newborn Medicine The Division of Newborn Medicine within the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine seeks candidates for an Assistant, Associate Professor or Professor position in the tenure track or with tenure. Candidates must be focused on basic science or translational research in areas related to neonatology. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D. Ph.D. degrees. Board certification in Neonatology is preferred. Teaching responsibilities may include Ph.D.-level graduate students, post-doctoral Ph.D. fellows, and M.D. fellows. Compensation will be commensurate with rank and experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate an independent research program in basic or translational pediatric neonatology that results in publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals and funding from NIH and other federal and non-federal funding agencies. The selected candidate will interact and collaborate with investigators in the Department of Pediatrics across the University of Pittsburgh campus. The ideal candidate will have the ability to productively collaborate with clinicians to foster translational research in their area of expertise.
