Senior Financial Analyst

This role will play a key part in enhancing the organization's financial planning and analysis (FP&A) functions, with a focus on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision support within the utility construction sector. The ideal candidate will bring robust FP&A experience specific to utility construction and possess strong analytical abilities to support growth initiatives and financial integrity.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine financial forecasts, operating budgets, and projections to support business objectives, ensuring accuracy and alignment with corporate goals.
  • Analyze financial data to identify key insights, improve forecasting accuracy, and enhance business performance.
  • Conduct and lead periodic reviews of various operational functions, preparing reports and presenting findings to senior leadership, including CFO and CEO.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create financial models that evaluate investment opportunities and assess long-term growth initiatives.
  • Support strategic initiatives such as M&A integration, process optimization, and financial system enhancements.
  • Utilize technology to streamline reporting processes and enhance data accuracy, seeking opportunities to leverage technology for efficiency gains.
  • Manage the preparation and presentation of financial reports to the Board of Directors, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as requested by senior leadership to guide critical business decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; an advanced degree or CPA designation is a plus.
  • 5+ years of FP&A experience, specifically within the utility construction sectors.
  • Proven track record of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and ERP systems, with knowledge of financial reporting and business intelligence tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and present insights to executive leadership.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
