Special Procedures Tech Evenings PRN

2 shifts per month minimum, no call. All shifts available.

Experience and Education

  • Associates degree or equivalent or Hospital based certification and one (1) year experience working as Technologist required.
  • ARRT and TDH certification required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) required.
  • Experience in Interventional Radiology, Neuro or Special Procedures is highly preferred.


Job Duties

  • Demonstrates ability to produce timely and quality diagnostic images while properly operating appropriate equipment and following established protocols.
  • Practices proper patient handling to ensure patient safety by using proper lifting and moving techniques, aids and restraints.
  • Documents all information pertaining to patient's clinical history, physician order and procedure log book.
  • Ensures correct and timely entry of procedures, supply charges and exam completions.
  • Assists Radiologists in performing special procedure examinations.
  • Maintains imaging equipment in optimal order. Cleans, restocks and maintains exam rooms.
  • Assembles and presents all exam documents and images for Radiologist.
  • Participates in educational programs, inservices, and department meetings. Participates and assists with training and orientation of new employees and students.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of department performance improvement initiatives and participates in identifying and resolving issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
