What you'll be doing...

The Verizon Consumer Product Group is responsible for connecting consumers with the products, services and solutions they love and need within Verizon's Home & Mobile business. This role focuses on Products that support innovative Financial Products & Services associated with Verizon Home & Mobile Brands.

Within the Verizon Consumer Group, the Product Management and Development within the Financial Services and Fin-Tech team identifies product needs, sources opportunities and designs product solutions from ideation through implementation to deliver best in class financial products & services to our customers. These innovative products can lead to realizable growth opportunities for the business, building and leveraging relationships with key industry players across the value chain, and guiding strategic initiatives in collaboration with cross functional teams. We are focused on products and add-ons that fit seamlessly within the customer's needs and lifestyle. Our team sits at the center of both identifying and driving new product opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies to diversify the suite of financial services offerings at Verizon. Includes looking at external trends, competitors, customer needs as well as Verizon objectives to drive new product recommendations.

  • Engage in exploratory conversations with external financial services providers to identify areas of opportunity and brainstorm innovative solutions that drive value to Verizon, the partner and our mutual customers.

  • Identify growth initiatives to scale the existing suite of financial products offerings into new channels, such as retail & segments, such as Value. Includes partnering closely with internal product management colleagues and the product marketing organization.

  • Drive ideation, business case development, and product/initiative readiness assessments by collaborating across the full Verizon organization including sales, marketing, finance, legal, etc.

  • Develop presentations for senior leadership and 'pitch' new concepts to secure approval and funding.

  • Drive product design & provide expertise through user story development and product launch deliverables.

  • Support initiatives across the full financial services portfolio including acquisition forecasting, securing capital and operational funding, and monthly performance tracking.

What we're looking for...
What you will need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • Four or more years of experience in strategy, product development or product marketing.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience in Financial Services, credit cards, ROI Analysis on Features and Ideation.

  • Agility with PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Experience working in a large, dynamic, complex organization, where developing strong interpersonal relationships and leading through influence are keys to success.

  • Ability to manage ambiguity and a changing environment with multiple stakeholders.

  • Strong sense of accountability in delivering rigorous, impactful analysis.

  • Excellent academic background. Masters or MBA, desirable.

  • High-energy, strategic thinker, with strong quantitative and analytical skills, and critical thinking abilities.

  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills. Experience supporting executive-level communications in a rapid-paced environment is a plus.

  • Knowledge of financial planning and analysis, with experience to manipulate business models to plan for positive revenue.

  • Experience in end-to-end program/project management including planning, executing, tracking and managing costs, schedule and scope.

For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances. If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $130,000.00 and $241,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
