Job Summary |
Auburn Athletics is seeking candidates to join the Special Event Crew to assist with event set up, breakdown, and other general special event preparations!
Temporary Employment Services (
TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university.
TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:
- Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
- Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
- Assistance with special projects
- Seasonal work
- Emergencies

Essential Functions |
- Assist with event set up and breakdown for special events, such as setting linens, florals, and AV needs.
- Perform basic administrative tasks, such as filing, copying, and using Microsoft Office apps.
- Assist with other duties pertaining to event preparation as assigned, including but not limited to; moving tables and chairs, greeting guests, registration, food service, cleaning.

Minimum Qualifications |
Expectations:
- Ability to work in variable weather conditions with loud crowd noise
- Ability to work both weekdays and weekends, 30-40 hours a week
- Ability to work during all Auburn Athletics home games
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Working knowledge of the following Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as basic audio-visual knowledge
