Job Summary
Auburn Athletics is seeking candidates to join the Special Event Crew to assist with event set up, breakdown, and other general special event preparations!

Temporary Employment Services ( TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:

  • Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
  • Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
  • Assistance with special projects
  • Seasonal work
  • Emergencies

AU student employees are not eligible for TES.
Essential Functions

  • Assist with event set up and breakdown for special events, such as setting linens, florals, and AV needs.
  • Perform basic administrative tasks, such as filing, copying, and using Microsoft Office apps.
  • Assist with other duties pertaining to event preparation as assigned, including but not limited to; moving tables and chairs, greeting guests, registration, food service, cleaning.

Minimum Qualifications
Expectations:

  • Ability to work in variable weather conditions with loud crowd noise
  • Ability to work both weekdays and weekends, 30-40 hours a week
  • Ability to work during all Auburn Athletics home games
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Working knowledge of the following Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as basic audio-visual knowledge
