Financial Associate I/II. The individual selected will provide financial and accounting support in budget management, financial reporting, and/or audit/reconciliation.

Essential Functions |
- Prepares, examines, codes, and processes forms, vouchers, and reports for financial transactions.
- Assists with budget preparation and analysis.
- Advises others about development and implementation of new systems and workflow procedures; and may train, assign, and review the work of others.
- Generates, reviews, analyzes, reconciles and processes reports and listings from central offices.
- Collects and disburses cash, checks, and other negotiable instruments.
- Manages receiving, auditing, and reporting of funds into the financial accounting system.
- Monitors and communicates with vendors, departments, and customers regarding payments, billings and other contract or invoice concerns.
- May provide payment services to include (but not limited to) approving payments of invoices and processing requisitions.
- May serve as liaison to central or other finance offices and assists library employees in making official travel accommodations.
- Perform other office work as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications |
Depending on the combination of education and experience, the selected finalist will be assigned level I or II.
Level I - High School Diploma or equivalent plus 4 years of experience in financial support services.
Level II - High School Diploma or equivalent plus 6 years of experience in financial support services. Experience must include at least 2 years at the preceding level or equivalent.
Substitution allowed for Experience
: When a candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience. |
Minimum Skills, License, and Certifications
Minimum Skills and Abilities |
Knowledge of extensive body of rules, precedents, procedures applicable to administrative support work. |
