Acentra is looking for a Senior Developer to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

The purpose of this position is to work with internal partners to support technology decisions to transform software development, increase developer productivity and improve solution delivery timeline to our customers.

*This position is Hybrid/Remote based in Albany, NY

Job Summary:

  • Collaborate with product teams to create scalable, adaptable, and robust software solutions, resulting in faster delivery.
  • Collaborates with Development and Business Analysis teams to understand system design and functionality. Perform a design study and assess the impact of system changes.
  • Participates in sprint planning, estimate, and retrospective meetings to assess project progress and take appropriate action.
  • Ensure our products and solutions meet code quality, application security, accessibility, and 508 compliances.
  • Develops templates based on system design and code standards with minimum supervision, including unit testing.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure compliance with company standards and best practices. Provide developers with input for improvement.
  • Assist with new personnel acquisitions, onboarding, and training on company development tools and processes.
  • Effectively communicate technical impact, root cause, and corrective actions to team leads and management.
  • Assist in Proof of Concepts and new initiatives.
Requirements

Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • It requires a BS in computer science or a related discipline and 8+ years of software development experience.
  • Good Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC) and experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Create and update required documentation, such as the Low-Level Design Document (LLD).
  • Design, develop, and engineer application software solutions using application frameworks such as Spring jQuery and web application servers such as Apache, Wild Fly [JBoss], or WebSphere.
  • Design, development, and engineering of REST and SOAP web services.
  • Hands-on experience with experience in Angular and Node JS.
  • Strong experience in PL/SQL and Database analysis.
  • Experience working with multiple operating systems (Linux, Windows).
  • Worked on source code management, such as SVN GIT.
  • Experience with build tools like Maven & Ant
  • Experience using Sonar and Jenkins.
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA and similar bug reporting tools.
  • Provide the ability to monitor system performance and uptime and quickly respond to issues when they occur.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Experience with the Healthcare domain
  • Experience integrating COTS solutions with large-scale web applications and
  • relational databases
  • Experience working with single sign-on (SSO) integration for enterprise applications and identity and access management (IAM)
  • Experience in identifying security issues with tools and resolving security.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $84,592/yr - $123,800/yr
