About the Position:
The Change Specialist - Configuration Management and Planning coordinates with other Change Specialists to prepare Engineering Change Orders (ECO) package for delivery to internal and external (USG) customers. The position is the lead contributor to Engineering Release Records and supports Change Specialist 1 (CS1) and other Change Specialist 2 (CS2) activities.

Responsibilities to Anticipate/Expect:
- Provide status of Engineering Release Record (ERR) backlog for Wheeled, Tracked, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs.
- Interface with Design Services Project Coordinators and CS2 Lead(s) to ensure that Configuration Control activities are in sync with the priorities of key Wheeled, Tracked and FMS programs.
- Provide weekly Over-Time assessment guidance to Section Manager & CS2 Leads
- Familiar with deriving Change Requests (CR)/Request for Variance (RFV) through the Change Process.
- Rudimentary understanding of vehicle production lines, quality, and program milestones.
- Assist in Preparation of CR/RFV packages for Configuration Control Board (CCB) review.
- Create agendas and schedule CCB meetings.
- Prepare for and attend Physical Configuration Audits (PCA).
- Prepare and submit Configuration Management (CM) Plans according to contractual requirements.
- Support Change Specialist 1 activities as required.
- Maintain accurate CM files and records.
- Create CDRLs (for which Configuration Management is the owner) and submit for Data Management delivery to customer.
- Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) records
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred with a technical discipline desired (e.g., Engineering or Supply Chain)
- 3-5 years' experience with Teamcenter performing as either a Change Specialist, Change Analyst or comparable engineering support function / tools / processes.
- Preferred proficiency in analyzing technical data including engineering drawings, specifications, and change documents.
- Proficiency in Configuration Management identification, Release, and Change Control processes
- Strong problem solving and decision-making ability.
- Proficient communication, organization, and prioritization skills
- Detail-oriented
- Demonstrated skill in Microsoft Office applications.
- Goal-oriented and able to work under time sensitive and demanding conditions.
- This position will require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Configuration Management principles and methods contained in ASNI/EIA 649, EIA649-1, ISO 10007, MIL-STD-973, and MIL HDBK-61A.
- Familiarity with data management principles and methods contained in DI-SESS-81000E, DoD Directive 5230.24, and MIL-STD-31000A.
- Knowledgeable of military & industry standards (EIA 649, EIA 649-1)
- Previous Configuration Management experience and CM2 certification
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management / Enterprise Resource Planning systems
- Experience collaborating across markets and functions.
