Basic Function

LyondellBasell is staffing for a Site Integration Manager for the Channelview, TX Manufacturing Complex, located 18 miles from downtown Houston. Our 4,000-acre Channelview Complex consists of two olefin units at the north side facility that manufacture ethylene, propylene, butadiene and benzene. The south side facility uses many of these products to produce propylene oxide, styrene monomer and other derivatives.

We are seeking an Integration Manager to join the Site Leadership Team for the Channelview Complex. As a member of the Leadership Team you will lead the Plant Projects organization while being responsible for the resolution of interface issues between the site and all of the capital projects including those executed by the Global Projects (GP) and Turnaround (TA) organizations. This role will also have accountability for developing operational readiness (OR) and commissioning and start-up (CSU) plans for the project scopes including coordinating staffing with the CVO Manufacturing organization. This position reports to the CVO Site Manager.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the site spokesperson/approver for project decisions and approvals.
  • Provide coordination between the Project Management Teams, TA Management Teams, Operations, and other site groups.
  • Own the CVO Capital LRP and manage the capital budgeting process.
  • Adjust CVO Plant Projects group staffing and work processes to efficiently execute the Capital LRP.
  • Coordinate site resources managed by other departments to support required activities for each project.
  • Prepare the OR deliverables and CSU plans for each major project to ensure a safe and successful start-up.
  • Ensure compliance of projects with all site HSE requirements.
  • Coordinate development and execution of all training impacts to site personnel prior to CSU.
  • Work collaboratively with the functions at the site and external to the site to resolve any conflicts and align all groups on activities needed for the projects and TAs to meet all objectives.


Min. Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Typically, 10+ years of leadership experience in a refinery or chemical plant.
  • Knowledge of or experience with HSE, operating, maintenance, and engineering processes and procedures, business fundamentals, and shared services roles in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of or experience withPMP requirements with a focus on OR and CSU.
  • Strong people and organizational leadership acumen demonstrated through previous experience within manufacturing.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills and the ability to interface with all organizational levels within the company.
