Georgia State University's Department of Auxiliary and Support Services is seeking to hire an experienced Assistant Director, PantherCard and Information Systems.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Under the general direction of the Director of PantherCard and Information Systems, this position acts as senior application administrator for the Georgia State PantherCard system to include the following primary applications: Transact, S2, Sequoia, Morpho and other supporting applications.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:



  • Responsible for maintaining the integrity, security, and reliability of assigned systems.
  • Provides technical expertise and support for assigned information systems.
  • Runs imports and analyzes results to ensure proper execution. Schedules and verifies success of nightly backup procedures.
  • Verifies proper functioning of various elements of the system, which allow for communication with remote devices and external systems.
  • Directly supervises two technical support/application administrator positions and oversees two other technical support/application administrator positions.
  • Prepares, reviews, and analyses financial reports and other reports.
  • Liaison with system vendors, campus resources and outside contractors to upgrade, repair and maintain applications.
  • Coordinates facilities and equipment maintenance and repair services within assigned operations.
  • Promotes excellence in customer service among peers and subordinate staff.
  • Develops operational procedures in assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree and three years supervisory/management related experience, or a combination of education and related experience.


Preferred Requirements:



  • Knowledge and experience with enterprise level campus card systems, access control systems and alarm systems.
  • Experience with Transact TSE, S2, Sequoia, Morpho.
  • Strong customer-service skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Low voltage electrical experience preferred as well as a basic networking understanding.
  • Personnel management experience.
  • Server administration experience.
  • Batch file programming.
  • SQL familiarity.
  • Must be able to work with a wide-range of personality types in a variety of business situations.
