The Office of Academic Assistance (OAA) at the Byrdine F. Lewis College of Nursing and Health Professions, located in downtown Atlanta, is committed to cultivating nurses dedicated to enhancing patient care. The College of Nursing & Health Professions is seeking to hire a Graduate Recruitment Manager to provide support to the Office of Academic Assistance.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

This position is responsible for advising students about the programs and admissions process for assigned program(s) and processes graduate and undergraduate professional program applications.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:



  • Plans, manages, and coordinates the admissions recruitment calendar with high level of decision-making by utilizing data from admissions reports and previous events to strategically schedule recruitment fairs, information sessions, and yield events.
  • Manages the graduation clearance process for the college. Serves as the liaison between the university graduation office and the college.
  • Approves graduation petitions. Works with departments and advisors to ensure degree requirements are met and issues are triaged.
  • Leads and supervises Academic Advisor I's. Serves as a backup scheduler for the college.
  • Monitors the tracking system for pre-majors in the college to measure retention and progression. Ensures that practices and policies are being followed. Provides direct oversight and supervision of the OAA staff assigned to monitor specific retention initiatives. Provides regular reports to associate director regarding student progress.
  • Formulates, revises, recommends and implements policy related to admissions in coordination with departments; develops procedures in response to curricular changes; analyzes data and provides reports to associate director and director as needed; Serves as the director in the absence of the director and associate director.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:



  • Master's degree and one year of experience; or a combination of work experience, including training and education which may be substituted for a degree.


Preferred Requirements:



  • Experience with proprietary information systems such as Banner, Degree Works, EAB Navigate; presenting in front of small and large groups; and curriculum review, development or construction.
