The Role in Brief:

Associate Production Support Engineer

This role is based in Richmond, VA.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Monitor production status and ensure the ETL processes run smoothly, addressing any issues and communicating with stakeholders as needed
  • Manage the ticket pipeline, ensuring timely and efficient delivery
  • Provide Tier 2 support, troubleshooting production issues related to data loads, proprietary tools, and user interfaces
  • Participate in projects aimed at continuously improving the application support model and associated processes using relevant technologies
  • Respond promptly to system alerts and escalations, addressing application platform failures
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify issues, and implement corrective and preventive measures
  • Document best practices, processes, and procedures, including issue resolutions and standards
  • Effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities


Basic Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technology field
  • 1+ year of professional experience in a development or production support role
  • Experience using UNIX/Linus command line or executing bash scripts
  • Proficient in SQL (experience with MS SQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL preferred)
  • Experience in data warehousing, including job scheduling, data profiling, data cleansing, and data quality validation/testing
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both internal and external clients
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to be on call (on a rotational basis)

Compensation:

The anticipated starting salary range for this role is $60,000 - $65,000 per year. Actual salary varies due to factors that may include but not be limited to relevant experience, skills, and location. At EAB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the starting salary range for their role.

This hire will additionally be eligible for discretionary bonus or incentive compensation. Variable compensation may depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
