Schedule: Day Shift The HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. This role ensures the proper functioning and efficiency of HVAC equipment to provide a comfortable and controlled indoor environment for commercial, or industrial settings. Responsibilities: Installation and Repair: Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including heating systems, air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and related components. This involves handling electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant components following safety protocols and industry standards. System Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC equipment issues using appropriate tools, diagnostic equipment, and technical knowledge. Identify faults, malfunctions, or performance issues, and propose effective solutions for repair or replacement. Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting system components for optimal performance and maximizing equipment lifespan. This includes changing filters, checking refrigerant levels, inspecting electrical connections, and verifying system efficiency. System Testing and Calibration: Conduct tests and measurements to assess system performance, efficiency, and safety. Calibrate and adjust controls, thermostats, and other HVAC system components as needed to ensure accurate and reliable operation. Compliance and Safety: Adhere to safety procedures, building codes, and regulations related to HVAC systems. Ensure that installations, repairs, and maintenance activities meet industry standards and comply with relevant guidelines. Documentation and Reporting: Keep thorough and accurate records of work performed, including maintenance tasks, repairs, parts used, and inspections. Provide reports on system performance, issues, and recommendations to supervisors or clients as required. Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, occupants, and colleagues. Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries, explaining repairs or maintenance procedures, and offering recommendations for system upgrades or improvements. Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts required for HVAC repairs and installations. Coordinate with appropriate personnel to ensure availability and proper stock levels. Continuous Learning: Keep informed about industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices in HVAC systems. Participate in training programs and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field. |
