JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Office of Sexual Misconduct reporting and Response (OSMRR) of Student Affairs is seeking a Case Manager (Student Conduct Officer - Intermediate Professional)to join their team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Respond to reports of student-related sexual or gender-based harassment and sexual misconduct by conducting intake interviews with students, and providing students with relevant information and resources about preventing, reporting, and addressing issues of sexual harassment.

  • Collaborate and train faculty, staff, and campus partners to assess and implement appropriate accommodations.

  • Prepare and present casesfor review.

  • Implement informal resolutions.

  • Transition cases appropriate for a formal investigation to an investigator.

  • Ensure appropriate reporting for Clery, Child Abuse, Title IX

  • Maintain a database.

  • Manage and monitor the processing of cases in the office.

  • Conduct file audits assessing areas of need for additional training/intervention.

  • Develop and deliver programming and training related to OSMRR functions and Title IX at University Park and at the Commonwealth Campuses for students, staff, faculty, and other University community members.

  • Travel to campus may be required.

Education and Experience:

This position requires a Master's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

In addition, this position will provide support and consultation to the Commonwealth Campus Title IX Resource People. This position requires knowledge ofCode of Conduct, Title IX, Clery Act, FERPA, and other federal and state laws and guidance that impact the work of Title IX administration.

This position requires the following clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$51,000.00 - $74,000.00

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
