Social Media Specialist
Gorman and Company is looking for a part time Social Media Specialist to help promote The Brewhouse Inn & Suites in Milwaukee, WI and The Stella Hotel and Ballroom in Kenosha, WI. As the Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for curating content, growing our online presence, and promoting both hotels' unique brand identities to drive awareness, bookings and customer engagement.

As the Social Media Specialist on our team, you will complete a variety of tasks which will include:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy for both The Stella Hotel & Ballroom and Brewhouse Inn & Suites to increase brand awareness and drive online engagement.
- Create, curate, and schedule engaging content (images, videos, and written) across social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), and LinkedIn.
- Produce and edit short-form video content for TikTok and Instagram Reels that showcases hotel features, events, guest experiences and behind the scene moments.
- Monitor, respond to, and engage with social media followers and customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Track social media metrics and performance to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with marketing and events teams to promote special events, offers and campaigns.
- Assist with social media advertising efforts, including paid promotions, boosting posts, and targeting specific audiences.
- Stay up to date with current trends, tools, and best practices in social media and digital marketing, with a special focus on TikTok and Instagram Reels.
- Capture and share engaging content, hotel features, events, and guest experiences to highlight the unique aspects of both properties.
This position is ideal for someone with the following experience and qualities:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Communication, Marketing, Journalism or Business.
- One year experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role, preferably in hospitality or a related industry.
- Proficient in using social media platforms and tools (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Strong video creation, editing, copywriting and communication skills to produce engaging content for social media.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design or tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- Experience with social media analytics tools to track and report on metrics.
- Creative thinker with the ability to generate new content ideas and adapt to current trends.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Must hold a valid driver's license and willing to travel between both properties in Kenosha, WI and Milwaukee, WI.
