Position Description:

The Manufacturing Engineering Associate performs various professional level Engineering duties in a variety of engineering and scientific disciplines. There is an emphasis on supporting the company's products and processes related to system/component design, development, manufacturing and testing.

Essential Functions:

  • Applies engineering and scientific principles to technical tasks in such technical fields as mechanics, electronics, flight technology, structures, chemistry, metallurgy, mathematics, and computer science.
  • May conduct or participate in portions of studies, investigations or analyses involving reliability, predictability, value engineering; or quality assurance problems including hardware and software projects.
  • Gathers, correlates, and analyzes technical information necessary to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Prepares reports, charts, graphs, and other related documents.

Critical Competencies:

  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal, across functional areas
  • Quantitative analysis skills using Excel and other software tools
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
  • Drives for results to establish Root Cause & Positive Corrective Actions
  • Continuously strives to improve processes & techniques

Education & Experience:

  • AA/AS in technical discipline required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Engineering discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years work experience in aerospace manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with various test equipment, automation, logic analyzers, data acquisition, etc. is preferred.
  • Mechatronics/Electro-Mechanical background is preferred.
  • Manufacturing/assembly experience preferred.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US, visa sponsorship not available.

This position is located 100% onsite at our Black Mountain, North Carolina facility. Relocation assistance is not available.
