For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to $3,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible Patient Access Representatives!

Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time Patient Access Representative position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

Summary:
The Patient Access Representative - Emergency Department role will greet patients in a friendly and courteous manner, answer telephones, schedule appointments, and perform other overall general office duties as assigned. The role will also collect, verify, enter, and monitor patient data while complying with the federal, state and MaineHealth confidentiality policies.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.

2. License/Certifications: Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferred.

3. Experience: One year of customer service or data entry experience in a healthcare environment preferred. Computer experience required.

4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A

5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Familiarity with healthcare billing and diagnostic coding.
