Software Architect

In this role we are primarily looking for experienced software developers who can help the team in designing the right woftware architecture for low level system components. In this role the developer is also required to implement complex functionalities where extreme efficiency and in depth understanding of operating systems, HW interfaces are needed.

The regular job responsibilities of the candidate will include but not be limited to:

1. Understanding and defining the requirements in detail by working with the customers.
2. Implementing features and functionalities in Linux based traffic generators used is stateful application emulation.
3. Defining architectures for high performance traffic generation engines for wireline products covering Layer2-7 of OSI model.
4. Debugging compex issues
5. Porting software to various platforms
6. Integrating software with various HW offload technologies
7. Mentoring junior engineers

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related fields or equivalent experience
• 15+ years of experience in software development
• 10+ years of experience in developing Linux based low level applications
• 2+ years of experience in edveloping Linux kernel modules
• 5+ years of experience technically leading teams
• Drive to learn new things and tackle meaningful & complex problems
• Strong communication and cross-team collaboration
• Independent and analytical software engineering skills
• Software development experience for embeded systems
