Capital Campaign Director

The Salvation Army Midland Division Headquarters located in St. Louis, Missouri, is looking for a Capital Campaign Director. The Capital Campaign Director will support the Executive Director of Development in coordinating all aspects of capital campaign management and reporting in the Salvation Army, Midland Division.

This is a full-time position 40 hours per week, pay is based on experience.

Essential Functions



  1. Consult with divisional leadership and corps officers on capital needs and planning.
  2. Work with and influence leadership across multiple departments (Development, Property, Social Services, etc.) at multiple levels simultaneously.
  3. Hold Salvation Army staff and volunteers accountable to timelines.
  4. Work with approved outside counsel on campaign strategy, timeline, and goals.
  5. Identify and cultivate steering and campaign committee members.
  6. Clearly communicate territorial and divisional decisions to corps officers and campaign level leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years' work-related experience, or combination of training and experience will be considered. Project coordination experience is important.

Required:




  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook and Teams).
  • Database experience.
  • Detail oriented, growth mindset, values continuous improvement, and impeccable integrity.
  • Hyper-organized and hard-working.
  • Ability to work proactively on several projects at the same time with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of structuring routine and sensitive correspondence.
  • Ability to relate to people in a courteous and professional manner with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be willing to continue education and learn new computer applications, as needed.
  • Proficient with typical office equipment.



Physical and Working Conditions

Must be capable of performing the above essential duties in an office environment to include using a computer, answering phones, etc. Most work will be indoors in a temperature-controlled environment. Work requires frequent use of computer terminal and other office equipment. Requires long periods of sitting, and close visual examination of computer products. There may be some standing, bending, carrying of light items such as papers, books, and small packages. Position is occasionally expected to help set up rooms for meetings and special events.
