The Foundation Grants Administrator is responsible for managing execution of the Foundation's Community Giving Program in assigned jurisidictions. This position is also responsible for the Foundation's technology, graphic design, technical messaging platforms and finance functions. Day to Day Role
- Leads the Foundation's Community Giving campaign assigned Dart Giving Communities nationwide, including independently overseeing site-specific programming and working with internal and external partners to ensure an effective campaign. This includes responding to community-based inquiries and handling projects in assigned jurisdictions
- Leads the Foundation's technology function including Grants Management System and other technology platforms
- Maintains the Foundation's grants management system including ensuring the system operates with clean data, trouble-shoots systems issues and basic functions such as running reports and updating records
- Maintains and updates the Foundation's website, digi-screens and other digital materials, inlcuding creating and implementing the content and copy posted to these platforms in accordance with the Foundation brand
- Uses Canva to create templates, create and design assets using photos, graphics, illustrations, vector art and icons for crochutres, flyers and other publicity and educational materials in accordance with the Foundation brand
- Leads Foundation Finance including managing the budget, facilitating vendor and grantee payments, overeseeing organizational cashflow and all related finance and accounting functions
- Prepares financial reports for Board meetings and works with Tax/Treasury on financial forecasting and obtaining timely cash infusions
- Performs research and due diligence on organizations and grantee applications using applicable tax rules, internal grant guidelines and charity-check software
- Works directly with potential and existing grantees on all aspects of Foundation giving, including providing technical assistance, explaining protocols and answering questions
- Perform special projects and tasks at the direction of the Executive Director
Core Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in non-profit, public sector course study, business or any related field.An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Comprehensive experience working with community-based non-profits, foundations or other charitable tax-qualified organizations
- Comprehensive experience maintaining and working in a grants lifecycle management system including trouble-shooting systems issues, overseeing system upgrades and ensuring the integrity and overall functionality of the system
- Comprehensive experience using Microsoft Office
- Experience identifying issues, comparing data, investigating and resolving discrepancies without supervision
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comprehensive experience using Canva graphic design software to create, modify and publish digital content in accordance with the Foundation brand. Experience with Adobe Acrobat, preferred
- Up to 5% domestic travel including locally in Mid-Michigan. International travel is possible, but rare.
- Position has the potential to work remotely at the discretion of the Executive Director. Must be able to report for in-person meetings and perform certain functions in-person with short notice.
