The Salvation Army Mission Statement:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  1. Must personally abide by all house rules.
  2. Assure the safety and security of resident beneficiaries during scheduled shift.
  3. Enforce all house rules as outlined in the Beneficiary Handbook.
  4. Be visible and available for all residents while on shift.
  5. Must have education, training and/or experience necessary to work in a residential setting.
  6. Implement and supervise leisure time activities.
  7. Coordinate duties with assistant residence manager.
  8. Oversee front deskmen and janitorial force.
  9. Conduct bed and locker checks at appropriate times. Check lockers at least once per week.
  10. Report all violations of house rules to Program Director.
  11. Complete all daily written reports, including new admissions and terminations, as well as any other unusual or noteworthy incidents.
  12. Attend meetings as required.
  13. Abide by all local, state, federal, OSHA and Salvation Army safety policies.
  14. Other duties as assigned by Program Director or Washoe County Coordinators.



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS



  1. High school graduate or equivalent.
  2. Basic understanding of Windows and Microsoft Office programs.
  3. Valid Nevada Driver's License with acceptable Motor Vehicles Report.
  4. Successfully complete The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Course.
  5. Strong verbal and written skills essential. Able to read, write and understand the English language.
  6. In recovery is a requirement. Working with individuals in recovery is a plus.
  7. Two years supervisory experience.
  8. Must be able to live on site minimum of five (5) nights per week.



CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS



  1. Must possess a valid Nevada Class C Driver License, and ability to drive a Salvation Army vehicle
  2. Must be 21 years or older.
  3. Complete The Salvation Army vehicle course training.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



  1. Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis up to eight (8) hours per day.
  2. Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds.
