Responsibilities: Individuals not currently employed by the University of Minnesota can be hired to perform work responsibilities where the appointment: (a) does not exceed 67 workdays in a calendar year; or Students who are not enrolled at any of the University of Minnesota system campuses. a) Individuals currently employed full time (i.e. 40 hours/week) by the University of Minnesota may also be employed in a temporary or casual position when: This job classification will be used when the second appointment is non-exempt work, regardless of the nature of work in the first appointment OR whenever the primary appointment is non-exempt regardless of the nature of work in the second appointment. b) University of Minnesota employees working in a part time job (e.g. appointed to a position that is less than 40 hours per week) can only be appointed to a temporary or casual position if both position are in the same employee group and/or PELRA unit.
